Global Call to Action Against Poverty 2005 (ICFTU Website)

In 2005, there will be real opportunities to push governments to make progress in the fight against poverty. At the ICFTU Congress, the ICFTU announced the Global Call to Action Against Poverty, backed by a wide-ranging coalition of groups, which are determined to get governments to take decisive action to reduce global poverty in 2005. The Global Call to Action Against Poverty was launched formally at the World Social Forum in Porto Alegre in January 2005.
